MDC to host family archery clinic in Kirksville April 11

KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host a FREE Discover Nature workshop on basic archery from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, at the MDC Northeast Regional Office, 3500 S. Baltimore St. in Kirksville.  The workshop will consist of a brief classroom session followed by mentored shooting. 

“This is a basic course designed to introduce kids and adults to an activity they can do together for a lifetime,” said MDC Outdoor Skills Specialist Rob Garver.

This workshop will introduce participants of all ages to the basics of archery safety, shooting techniques, equipment, target shooting, and hunting.    

MDC offers this workshop at no cost to attendees, and will provide all equipment necessary.  Attendees may bring their own equipment if preferred.  To attend, participants must preregister by April 9 at mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com/Event/EventDetails/156436
