KIRKSVILLE Mo. –The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) invites women to attend a FREE nature jewelry crafting workshop in Kirksville on April 21.

This Discover Nature – Women workshop will take place 6 – 8 p.m. on April 21 at the MDC Northeast Regional Office, 3500 S. Baltimore St. in Kirksville.

“Join us to make beautiful nature jewelry from deer antlers, spent shotgun shells, turkey and duck feather, and more,” said MDC Naturalist Alyssa Garver.

Discover Nature programs help Missourians discover and explore nature, provide expert instruction and hands-on activities, and hone outdoor skills.

This workshop is designed for women 18 years old and older, however, girls age 14-17 are also welcome when accompanied by an adult woman.

This workshop is free and MDC will provide all materials. Space is limited, and participants must preregister by 5 p.m. on April 18. Call the MDC Northeast Regional Office at (660) 785-2420 to reserve a spot.
